Nelson Repair Café

The What We Make, Buy & Waste group of the Nelson Tasman Climate Forum started the Nelson Repair Café in 2020 to help reduce waste and make better use of resources: reducing waste, pollution and emissions, benefiting our community and environment. The café is supported by Nelson City Council and hosted by Habitat for Humanity at ReStore Nelson.

Usually the event is held at 166 Tahunanui Drive, Tāhunanui, 7011 Nelson during the colder months and otherwise, at Whakatū Arts and Action, 183 Bridge Street , Nelson 7010. To be sure, feel free to check our Facebook page.

Our amazing team of volunteers can help you with repairs for smaller items – examples include:

- Electrical repairs (no large appliances, microwaves and electric blankets)

- Clothing & fabric

- Small furniture or miscellaneous

- Household items

- Bicycles

- Toys
