South Canterbury Eco Centre Repair Café
Sustainable South Canterbury Trust
55C Redruth Street, Redruth, Timaru, New Zealand
Second Sunday of every month, 10am - 12.30pm

Established in September 2023, the South Canterbury Eco Centre Repair Café is a community space where people come together to repair, learn, and reduce waste from landfill. It is hosted by the same charity that manages the Crow’s Nest - the reuse, repurpose, recycle shop next door.
Our regular volunteers bring a wide range of skills, including sewing and mending, wood repairs, toy and ceramic fixes, bike mechanics and practical problem-solving such as sourcing workshop manuals and repair advice. We are always keen to welcome new volunteers and fresh ideas, and we encourage anyone with repair skills or a question about fixing something to get in touch. We can't guarantee all repair options at each cafe as it depends on our volunteer availability.
We are grateful to our volunteers who generously share their time and expertise, helping keep items in use and supporting a more sustainable community.
