"The world says replace it.
We say repair it."
We live in a throwaway world, a cracked phone, a wobbly chair, a broken zip, all built to be replaced, not repaired. Repair co-lab exists to rewrite that story: making repair the easy choice again. Created by Repair Network Aotearoa, it's a permanent home for repair as a shared practice, not a one-off event. Skilled fixers, workshop with expert advive and a community that believes the most sustainable object is the one you already own.
"Repair isn't nostalgia. It's a skill worth having again."
Why it matters?
Every repair here is small on its own, a mended seam, a resoldered wire, a sharpened blade. But multiplied across a community, it adds up: less landfill, less demand for new resources and a neighbourhood that knows how to look after what it has. Repair isn't nostalgia. It's a skill worth having again.
