Operating since January 2020, our Repair Café Events aim to recreate a culture of repair- not replace- as an experienced local shares their skills and helps you to repair your items. Our volunteers provide knowledge on local repair specialists, part suppliers, help diagnose faulty items and offer maintenance advice.

For followers of television’s The Repair Shop programme, the growing popularity of community repair cafes will come as no surprise. They have sprung up around New Zealand as people seek help to fix broken items rather than send them to landfill.
